What are Energy Performance Certificates?

To obtain an EPC, an accredited company needs to verify the information and calculate the energy performance. IDM Solutions has obtained the necessary accreditation and has built up the required expertise to verify and provide an EPC for your company.

An up-to date EPC will be required by law but obtaining an EPC will also inform building owners of their consumption and costs. Along with an EPC, IDM Solutions will also provide a report that shows potential cost savings that would be achieved with a different rating.

How We Work

We will send you a form to complete regarding the scope of work (or discussion).

We will calculate a quotation with a cost breakdown.

If the quotation is accepted, we will make an appointment to perform the site inspection.

We will then calculate the EPC rating and provide you with your certificate and a report.

Do you need an Energy Performance Certificate?

These categories of buildings require an EPC:

• Commercial buildings that are 2000m²
• Public (state owned) buildings larger than 1000m²
• Buildings in the following categories:
  • Entertainment and Public Assembly
  • Theatrical and Indoor Sports
  • Places of Instruction
  • Offices
• The building has not been changed in the previous two years
